Lessons 4 and 5 - Evaluation of Triumph of Will

The 1934 award winning film - "Triumph of Will" by  Leni Riefenstahl chronicles the 1934 Nazi Party Congress in Nuremberg, which was attended by more than 700,000 Nazi supporters. The film contains excerpts from speeches given by Nazi leaders at the Congress, including portions of speeches by Adolf Hitler, Rudolf Hess and Julius Streicher, interspersed with footage of massed Sturmabteilung and Schutzstaffel troops.

In these lessons you will view the film and evaluate it for the key themes contained with, identify methods of propaganda youa re already familiar with and consider whether it successfully achieved its aims.
